	Terry Brown
	Chief Executive Officer
	Terry holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Michigan-based Wayne State University. He received a degree in physical therapy from New York University and an MBA from Tennessee State University. He served as director of physical therapy at hospitals in Florida, Mississippi and Tennessee before joining HealthSouth Lakeshore Rehabilitation Hospital as director of physical therapy in 1986. Terry has served as Lakeshore’s CEO since 1995 and has been with Lakeshore since 1986.

Dr. Paula Stewart

Medical Director

Dr. Paula Stewart received her undergraduate and master’s degrees from Stanford University. She attended the University of Minnesota Medical School, and completed her residency training in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the Mayo Clinic. She was a staff physician at Charlotte Institute of Rehabilitation, where she served as director of research, director of cancer rehabilitation services, and director of the lymphedema clinic. Dr. Stewart is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation and in the subspecialty of spinal cord medicine. She has been with Lakeshore since 2002.

John Estis

Director of Human Resources

John has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Alabama with a concentration in human resources and a master’s degree in business administration from Samford University. He has more than 25 years of experience in human resources and hospital management. John is certified by the Society of Human Resources Management as a senior human resources professional.

	Kristy Gunther
	Chief Financial Officer
	Kristy serves as controller and chief financial officer at HealthSouth Lakeshore. She earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Rhodes College and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Alabama. Kristy has more than 10 years of experience in financial management and has been employed at HealthSouth since 2003.

	Sarah Williamson, RN
	Chief Nursing Officer
	Sarah is the responsible for all patient care services at HealthSouth Lakeshore. Sarah earned a diploma in nursing from Bryan Memorial Hospital in Lincoln, Neb., as well as a bachelor’s degree in nursing at Nebraska Wesleyan University and a master’s degree in nursing at the University of Hawaii in Honolulu. She has performed presentations on stroke care, alternative therapy, management and pediatrics. Sarah has been at HealthSouth Lakeshore since 2000.

Kathy McKerley, RN,

Director of Marketing Operations

Kathy received her nursing degree from Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing in Charlotte, N.C., and is a certified case manager. She has been at HealthSouth Lakeshore since 1996 and has served as the director of marketing and case management since 1998.

	Noelle Ward, OT
	Director Of Therapy Operations
	Noelle has been at HealthSouth Lakeshore since 2004. She served as senior occupational therapist before being named director of therapy operations. She has implemented numerous programs to improve patient care at Lakeshore and was voted 2005 Therapist of the Year. Noelle has a bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

	Heath Phillips
	Chief Operating Officer
	Heath received a bachelor's degree in commerce and business administration from the University of Alabama and a master's degree in health administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Prior to joining Lakeshore, he served in several capacities, including senior leadership roles, in healthcare facilities in Birmingham and Gadsden, Ala. Heath joined Lakeshore in 2008.
