Home Evaluation
The hospital provides no cost home screenings for individuals who might benefit from rehabilitation. To facilitate a screening, the individual, a family member or a healthcare professional should call (205) 868-2025 to request an evaluation. Please click here for Home Program Cutsheet.

Insurance
Rehabilitation is covered in full or part by most health insurance plans, including Medicare. The hospital has contracts with most major insurance companies and is willing to negotiate with other companies as needed.

We strive to make payment procedures as easy as possible. Facility personnel are available to meet with patients, families or other responsible parties to discuss billing procedures and requirements prior to admission. Lakeshore will verify your insurance coverage prior to admission and file an insurance claim for you stay as a courtesy.
